Panel to reassess two polytechnics

The National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) has set up a five-expert panel, chaired by Professor A. Adimado of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to reassess the readiness of the Cape Coast and the Tamale polytechnics for their conversion to technical universities.

The other members are Dr Kwaku Amaning-Agyei, Mr W.G. Akamwariwiak, Mr Isaac Boamah and Mr John Dadzie-Mensah, with Nii Adotey Abraham as secretary.

Letters of appointment

The letter appointing Prof. Adimado as rhe chairman of the panel by the Executive Secretary of the NCTE, Prof. Mohammed Salifu, explained that the two polytechnics petitioned the NCTE and the Ministry of Education on the readiness of the two polytechnics to be re-assessed and considered for conversion to technical universities.
