Pastors should appreciate contributions of church members
A Pastor with the Apostolic Church of Ghana, Apostle Joseph Kwame Ansah, has advised church leaders to recognise the contributions members of their congregations make towards the growth of the church. He said church members had so much confidence in their pastors such that they were prepared to even part with the little they had to be used for church work.
“To them, it is a way of resourcing the church and the pastors as well so they perform their duties and responsibilities to the best of their abilities,” he said.

Confidence
Apostle Ansah, who is retired, urged pastors of the church to reciprocate the confidence reposed in them by the congregation by encouraging them to pray constantly and study the Bible in order that they may have everlasting life.
He likened the church congregation to sheep, with the pastors being the shepherds who had been ordained by God to take charge of the sheep and lead them to greener pastures.
“Pastors must, therefore, remain resolute since they have the backing of God to make them succeed against any evil preventing them from leading the congregation to eternal life,” he said.
He said the same God who had assigned pastors to lead their congregation out of poverty, misery and other negative inclinations was the same God who would make sure that "pastors do not lack anything”.

Apostle Ansah called on the congregation to continue with their support for the church to enable it to grow from strength to strength.
In addition, he urged members of the church to work in close collaboration with their pastors and their wives to ensure that there was harmony in the church.
Upright character
Apostle Ansah described Pastor Agyapong as someone with an upright character and called for support for him in the performance of his duties.
He emphasised that church building required the concerted efforts of all members, and as such urged the congregation to rally behind the resident pastor to enable him to lead them to victory.
He noted that he had worked in the ministry for 27 years and served at various stations, including Nsawam, Konongo, Sunyani District 'A', the Asiakwa District and the Achimota District which was now a sub-area.
