Police arrest man for unlawful possession of firearm in Aponteng

The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect, Yahaya Seidu, for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition at Aponteng Krom in the Western Region.
The suspect was found with a locally manufactured pistol and, upon questioning, failed to provide any lawful reason for possessing the weapon.
The police retrieved one locally manufactured pistol and two live cartridges from the suspect during the arrest.
The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations, and is expected to be arraigned before the court.
