According to the police, one person has been arrested in connection with the reported kidnap of Ishmael Hussein.

The reason for Hussein’s kidnap was not immediately known but the police suspect it has something to do with the recent exposé of corruption in the judiciary by Anas.

The Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ebenezer Tetteh made this known in an interview with Joy News.

According to the police, Hussein, 24 went to Tamale and visited his family house.

Whiles there, he was identified and detained by one guy who was currently in police custody.

The said person later called another person and they moved him to two separate places, one of which was a shop that belongs to a relative of an implicated person in the judicial corruption scandal.

It was at that shop that the police managed to rescue him.

ASP Tetteh explained the matter was still being investigated and cannot give much details as of now.
