Recent power interruptions due to faulty cables - ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed recent power interruptions in the capital to an accident which occurred at its Mallam Bulk Supply Point (BSP).
According to a statement issued by the ECG, their staff are working to ensure that power is restored to sections of Accra.
"The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform its cherished customers that there is an interruption in power supply in the western part of Accra due to an Accident which led to a cable cut tripping the system at its Mallam Bulk Supply Point (BSP)," the statement said.
"ECG engineers are working assiduously to restore power as soon as possible. The inconvenience is very much regretted".
