Rainstorm renders Aburaso residents homeless

Some residents of Aburaso in the Ahafo Ano South District have been rendered homeless following a rainstorm that hit the community last Sunday. While some residents have had the roofs of their buildings ripped off, others have their household items exposed to rain.

Property destroyed run into thousands of cedis.

The Aburaso District Assembly Primary and Junior High School (JHS) also had its roofs ripped off, exposing books and other educational materials to the vagaries of the weather.

About 60 houses have been affected by the rainstorm with the victims crying for help.

When the Daily Graphic visited the community yesterday, victims of the rainstorm had barely enough to claim as property.

They have, therefore, appealed to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), to come to their aid.
