Refuse takes over Neoplan bus terminals
Drivers and commuters at the Neoplan Station at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra have expressed their displeasure about the dumping of refuse at the station.
The station has been turned into a dump site by some refuse collection entities.

The refuse is brought in large quantities in trucks from Adabraka, Alajo, Avenor, Komlemle and Kaneshie and dumped at various open spaces at the station.
The Vice Chairman of the Neoplan Drivers Association, Mr Paul Ayitey, said for the past six months refuse had been dumped regularly at the station.
He said it often took the efforts of workers of ZoomLion Company to clear the refuse.
Flies and stench
He expressed regret that the flies and the stench from the refuse could pose a health hazard to both drivers and the numerous passengers who patronised services at the station.
Mr Ayitey therefore appealed to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to take appropriate measures to stop the practice.
He said the contractors working on the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange were currently reconstructing the station’s offices they demolished to pave way for the project.
