Sametro Company donates to widows

Sametro Company Ltd, a leading multi-industry conglomerate, as part of the Christmas festivities donates food items to 250 widows in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region.

The widows received bags of rice and cooking oil as part of the Sametro Group of Companies’ annual Christmas outreach, aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Chief Executive Officer of the Sametro Group, Samuel Gordon Etroo, said the initiative was inspired by the biblical call to honour widows, adding that the beneficiaries were selected through announcements on Space FM to ensure transparency.

Beyond the material support, he shared a message of hope and salvation with the widows, stressing the importance of spiritual encouragement alongside physical assistance.

He explained that the gesture was intended to restore dignity, strengthen community bonds and ensure the widows experienced the joy and meaning of Christmas.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, which they said would help make the festive season more meaningful for their families.
