The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a nationwide planned maintenance exercise scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025, which will affect power supply in parts of the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Tema, and Volta regions.

According to separate notices issued by the company, the exercise is intended to “improve service delivery” and will result in temporary power outages in several communities from 9am to 5pm, depending on the region.

Greater Accra Region

Power will be interrupted in: Tuba, Kokrobite, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku, Gbawe Gonse, Joma Agbozome, Agbogba, Top Herbal, North Legon, Haatso DVLA, Russia, Dansoman SSNIT Flat, Dansoman Sahara, Mama’s Inn, Wesley Grammar, Zodiac, King Solomon, and surrounding areas.

Ashanti Region

Outages are expected in: Part of Agona, Wiamoase, Jamase, Nsuta, Abonkosu, Akyease, Mampong, Ghana Water, Kumawu Government Hospital and nearby communities.

Tema Region

The following areas will be affected: Kpong, Nuaso, Kpongunor, Agormanya, Odumase, Kojonya, CJ Hospital, IGGC Sakumono, Community 13, Community 14, Sakumono Village, Emef Estate, and their environs.

Volta Region

Communities to be impacted include: Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Centre, and surrounding areas.

In each of the statements, ECG regretted the inconvenience the scheduled exercise may cause and urged the public to bear with them as the maintenance works are essential to enhancing electricity supply reliability.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly to minimise disruptions to their daily activities.
