
See the areas that will be affected by ECG's planned maintenance on August 4–5, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled and emergency maintenance works across multiple regions from Monday, August 4 to Tuesday, August 5, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance service reliability and delivery.
In the Greater Accra Region, residents in Madina Estate, West Legon, Haatso, and the Legon Bypass will experience power interruptions on Monday, August 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to planned maintenance activities. ECG has assured customers that the exercise is necessary to improve supply quality and has apologised for the inconvenience.
In the Tema Region, power will be interrupted on Tuesday, August 5, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in areas including Community 17, Baatsona, HFC Estate, Jericho Taxi Rank, Roman Down, Adjei Kojo, Kanewu, Queens Court School, Underbridge and surrounding communities.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Region will see both scheduled and emergency works. On Tuesday, August 5, scheduled maintenance will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Kotwi, Nkoranza, Kokoben, Bekwame, Sabin Akrofrom, Part of Buoho, Sasa, Akrowa, Abuakwa, Lawson Herbal, Abakomade, Mankranso, Kunsu, and Gyaekontabuo.
A separate exercise from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the same day will affect Santase, Fankyenebra, Odeneho Kwadaso, OWASS, CAC University, Patase, Apire, Ampatia, Trede, Bebu, Ampabame No.1 and 2, Edwenase, Kwadaso, Ohwimase, Asuoyeboah, Tanoso, Takyiman, Denkyembuoso, Yabi, Kromoase, Agric Nzema, Akyeremade, Twedie, Foase, Antoakrom, Manso Nkwanta, Nweneso, Trabuom, Boko, Yawkrom, Chichibon, and Manso Adubia.
Additionally, emergency maintenance works will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Aboaso, Kona, Dumanafo, Dwumakwai, Tano Dumasi, Mpobi, Ejuratia, Ntonso, Fawoade, Asonomaso, Mamponteng and their environs.
In the Volta Region, two maintenance exercises are expected. The first, conducted by ECG, will affect power supply on Tuesday, August 5, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Centre and its surroundings.
The second will be carried out by the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) at the Sogakope Bulk Supply Point. This activity will result in outages from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Sogakope, Akatsi, Adidome, Comboni, Agorkpo, Adutor, Dabala, Abor, Mafi Avedo, Torve, Yorkutikpo, Kpenu, Agorta, the Naval Training School, Anloga, Agordome, Savietula, Cescineros, Dzita and nearby areas.
ECG has urged affected customers to bear with the company as it undertakes these essential maintenance operations to ensure a more stable and efficient power supply.
