
See the areas that will be affected by ECG's maintenance on August 6, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled emergency and planned maintenance works across various regions on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The exercise, which is aimed at improving power reliability and service delivery, will affect several communities in the Ashanti, Greater Accra, Volta, and Tema regions.
In the Ashanti Region, ECG will carry out emergency maintenance works from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Areas to be affected include Chirano, Nambro, Subri, Anwiaso, Akyease, Kwamekrom, Bibiani, Mensin Gold mining company, Tanodumase, KD Sreso, Nyinahin, Kuffour Camp, Bayerebon, Nagole, Ntobroso, Adobewura, Akorabokrom, Agogoso, Anwiafutu, Kotokuom, and Anyinamso 1 and 2.
The Volta Region will also experience power outages due to two separate planned maintenance exercises. ECG's scheduled works will affect Hodzo and its surrounding areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) will undertake maintenance at the Sogakope Bulk Supply Point, also on Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This will impact power supply to Sogakope, Akatsi, Adidome, Comboni, Agorkpo, Adutor, Dabala, Abor, Mafi Avedo, Torve, Yorkutikpo, Kpenu, Agorta, the Naval Training School, Anloga, Agordome, Savietula, Cescineros, Dzita and their surrounding areas.
In the Greater Accra Region, the maintenance works will lead to outages in Madina Akosombo, Madina, Shiabu, Gbegbeyise Beach Road, Medie Parks & Gardens, Bubuashie and surrounding areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In the Tema Region, power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Bediako, Community 25 Annex, Afienya Zongo, Emefs Estates, Valco Estates, Saki, Able Academy, Bulaso, Peace Be, Mobole, Otsebreku, Okushibri, Apollonia, Jerusalem, Kubekro, Katamanso, Promised Land, Elegant Homes, Data Center and surrounding areas.
The ECG has apologised for any inconvenience the outages may cause and assured customers of its commitment to improving service quality through these maintenance activities.
