
See the areas that will be affected by ECG's maintenance on August 7, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that parts of the Ashanti, Volta, and Greater Accra regions will experience power interruptions on Thursday, August 7, 2025, due to planned maintenance works.
According to separate notices issued by ECG and the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), the exercise is part of efforts to improve electricity supply reliability and ensure efficient service delivery to customers.
In the Ashanti Region, ECG will carry out scheduled maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting several communities including Aboaso, Kona, Dumanafo, Dwumakwai, Tano Dumasi, Mpobi, Ejuratia, Ntonso, Fawoade, Asonomaso, Mamponteng and their surrounding areas.
The Volta Region will experience maintenance activities at multiple locations. GRIDCo will undertake a major exercise at the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., impacting areas such as Asiekpe, Ho, Kpeve, Tsito, Kpando, Kadjebi, Hohoe, Nkwanta, Jasikan, and nearby communities. Additionally, ECG will conduct its own maintenance in Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Centre and surrounding areas, also from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In the Greater Accra Region, ECG will carry out maintenance works during the same timeframe, targeting areas including Adjiriganor, Sowutuom, Israel, Race Course, Tuba, Kokrobite, Old Bortianor, Old Akplaku, Gbawe Gonse, and Joma Agbozome.
ECG has apologised for any inconvenience the temporary outages may cause, noting that the maintenance activities are essential to ensuring stable and improved power supply to customers in the affected areas.
