The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Greater Accra, Tema and Volta regions between Monday, September 1 and Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

According to the company, the exercise forms part of efforts to improve service delivery and will require interruptions in power supply in selected communities.

In the Greater Accra Region, areas including Teshie Mallek, Teshie Demo, Teshie Rasta, Adjiriganor 69, Islamic University, NTHC Estate, Odorkor, Awoshie, Gbawe, Achimota Market, Achimota Old Station, Mandela, SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordjor, and Kinshasha will experience outages on Monday, September 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The following day, Tuesday, September 2, power supply will be interrupted in Cantonments, Ogbojo Town, Ashaley Botwe St Peter’s, Sraha Town, Sowutuom, Israel, Race Course, New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Gbawe, McCarthy Hill, Weija Junction, Tetegu and surrounding areas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

In the Tema Region, communities including Kpong, Nuaso, Kpongwunor, Odumase, Kojonya, Atua, Sawer, Somanya, Mount Carmel, ARS, Tsopoli, Shiloh, Luta and surrounding areas will also be affected on Tuesday, September 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Volta Region will similarly experience interruptions on Tuesday, September 2, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Centre and surrounding communities.

ECG has apologised to affected customers for the inconvenience the maintenance works may cause, assuring them that the exercise is necessary to enhance power reliability and service delivery.
