A 19-year-old, Ahmed Mustapha, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labour after being found guilty of robbery and causing harm at Asabi, a community within the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
Facts presented in court indicated that Mustapha attacked a victim with a cutlass during a robbery on July 21, 2026.
He was swiftly arrested by officers from the Ghana Police Service and later charged.
The case was heard at the Asokore Mampong District Court, presided over by Vida Achiaa Yeboah, who handed down the sentence after reviewing the evidence presented on August 10, 2026.
