“Ziom” - These are the men behind that popular sound when the Asantehene speaks.
They are the Asantehene’s Linguists (Akyeame)
In the attached photo, captured when the Asantehene spoke at the UPSA last Friday, the Akyeame are lined up in order of seniority from right to left.

- Chief Linguist-Akyeamehene - Nsuase Poku III.
- Kyeame Jachie Amoateng. Jachie Amoateng doubles as the Chief of Bosomtwe Jachie. A very unique double role.
- Kyeame Kentenkrekyi. He is now the main spokesperson of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II .
- Kyeame Bonsu
- Kyeame Antwi Boasiako etc.

Otumfuo has 12 Akyeame. Eight of them were at the UPSA with him last Friday.
