On the glitzy night of  food and live band music, some lucky customers walked away, after a raffle draw, with gifts including 32-inch television sets, Toyota branded fridges and back packs, rice cookers, kettles, blenders, DVD players and dinner sets.

However, the icing on the cake was an African Sun Hotel-sponsored one-week holiday package to Zimbabwe’s Elephant Hill Hotel, which went to Mr Charles N.K. Takyi.

In a year in which Toyota swept a number of awards in the auto industry, including CIMG Motor Firm of the Year, and the Association of Ghana Industries Best Auto Company of the Year, the Managing Director (MD) of the company, Mr Tsesuya Suematsu, expressed appreciation to the customers.

“We appreciate your belief in us, and our stellar performance all these years is due to your enthusiastic contribution and also, your constant input through your response to our customer service surveys and your suggestions.

“As the year draws to a close,  we want to let you know how much we truly value your business and appreciate your  continued patronage.

“We understand that you have many options in the marketplace, and are pleased that you have made Toyota Ghana your premier choice for Toyota vehicles,” he said.

This year has seen the company introduce three vehicles, the sleek Yaris Hatchback, the 11th generation Corolla and the Hino,in an effort to meet what the Toyota Ghana  MD described as varied  needs and changing lifestyles.

Mr  Suematsu also mentioned a number of corporate social responsibility projects undertaken by the company during the year, including the provision of potable water for the Brahabebome community in the Tarkwa municipality of the Western Region, and different forms of support for Calvary Methodist School at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region, the Plastic and Burns Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Ho Nurses Training College and the Kaneshie Polyclinic.
