Murder of Woman

Narrating the Twanehenekrom occurrence to the Daily Graphic, the Western Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ms Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, said the suspect, Kwame Ansah, 39, gave his  wife, 30-year-old Afua Tawiah, GH¢30.00 for safekeeping.

She said  when Ansah demanded his money,  Afuah explained that she had used GH¢24.00 to buy clothes for Ansah, which he did not take kindly to. Consequently, a fight ensued between the couple, resulting in Ansah allegedly stabbing Afuah.

She said the youth of the Twanehenekrom arrested Ansah and sent him to the Daboase Police Station.

Son murders father

Narrating the circumstance in which the kebab seller killed his father, Ms Adiku said that Gana had been blaming his father, Thomas Nyaba, for not supporting his formal education.

She said in the afternoon of October 28, 2013,  Gana threatened to kill his father when the two of them were in a room and before his siblings could prevail on him not to do it, Gana had stabbed his father with a knife.

Nyaba  was rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly on arrival and Gana was arrested.
