Two injured after gunshot incident at Awutu Senya East Constituency
Two persons have sustained gunshot wounds after a shooting incident near the Steps to Christ polling station at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region.
The two, injured persons are receiving treatment at the hospital.
The incident happened at about 300 metres away from the Steps to Christ polling station, according to the police.

The Central Regional Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Oppong, confirmed the incident saying it happened at about 11:40am, reports Graphic Online's Shirley Asiedu-Addo from Cape Coast.
An eyewitness in a radio interview monitored by Graphic Online in Accra said the Black SUV was a Toyota Landcruiser.
The electoral process was halted for some minutes before it continued.
The eyewitness, Abdul Malik Sharabutu said he was on his way home when he met his colleagues in the white KIA vehicle and joined them so they could drop him in the house.
He said when they came across the men in the black SUV, they ordered them to go back and when they challenged them, one of the guys, a taller person pulled out an AK 47 and shot into their vehicle injuring the two people.
He said he sustained a minor injury in the hand.
The Police PRO, DSP Irene Oppong gave the registration number of the KIA saloon vehicle as GW 2375-20.

There were five people in white KIA vehicle but it was two of them who sustained the gun injuries, she said.
She said the men, however, opened fire on the occupants of the KIA saloon car about 300 metres from the school complex polling station injuring two of them.
DSP Oppong said the injured have been sent to the hospital while police continue their efforts to get the perpetrators arrested.
