Unilag suspends Mr Igbeneghu over "sex for grade" expose
The management of the university of Lagos (Unilag) in Nigeria has suspended Mr Boniface Igbeneghu the lecturer at the center of “sex for grades” expose and has shut down the “cold room”.
The action followed an undercover expose done by the BBC Africa eye aired on Monday, October 7 which saw Mr. Igbeneghu trying to sexually harass his student.
The investigation is part of a broader one that uncovers the sex for grade crises in universities in Nigeria and Ghana.

Speaking to the premium times newspaper in Nigeria, the vice- chancellor of Unilag, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, confirmed that an emergency meting held by management on Monday afternoon resulted that Mr. Igbeneghu be suspended indefinitely.
He added that the "staff club cold room" as mentioned in the documentary has also been shut down.
The vice- chancellor said, according to managemment, Mr Igbeneghu has been barred from the university's premises unless invited by a panel constituted by the university to invesitigate the matter.
He said that investigations are underway to get to the root of the issue.
