VIDEO: Another building collapse during rainfall in Accra; 2 people rescued
Another building has collapsed in Accra during rainfall.
This time it happened at the Industrial Area at Avenor, opposite the Ashfoam Showroom, and adjacent to Melcom Plus on Sunday [June 7, 2026].
Firefighters are present at the scene on a rescue operation (See video below).
Two people have been rescued and taken to the hospital.
One of them, according to the Public Relations outfit of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was in a critical condition.
Officers from the Circle Fire Station and the National headquarters of GNFS were the first responders.
One of the rescued victims was trapped in a mosque, which is adjacent to the collapsed building.
A similar incident at Adenta last Wednesday, June 3, resulted in the death of one person.
