VIDEO: Inside Mama Gee's 'sex charm' shop, before the FDA bust
It has emerged that popular aphrodisiac seller, Elizabeth Torgbor alias Mama Gee operated for over a year and built up a massive consumer base before her operation was shut down by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
Social media videos prior to her arrest on Wednesday showed women in long-winding queues at her Madina store in an apparent mad-rush for her catalogue of herbal sexual enhancement products which she claims are not spiritual but can save any relationship.
In an interview in June with DJ Nyaami of SVTV, Mama Gee said her business has thrived in just a year because of the referrals she receives from here ever-increasing clientele. Graphic Online also gathered that the FDA cautioned her about her activities last month before her arrest.

She said, she created her products with inputs from her grandmother and mother about the properties of traditional herbs, adding that she was not in competition with self-styled men of God who sell similar potions.
Mama Gee also listed her catalogue of products which also includes products for men. They are; Favour oil, Atalknado, Herbal mixture, Herbal wash, Favour oil, Tightener, Sweetener and Attraction Potions.
Arrest
A statement signed and issued by the Chief Executive of the FDA, Mrs Delese A. A. Darko on Wednesday, July 10 said Mama Gee was arrested with the assistance of police officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The FDA explained that the products Mama Gee has been propagating were good for sexual enhancement have not been approved by the FDA.
The statement said she was arrested at her shop at Madina in Accra near the Rawlings Park on Wednesday, July 10.
