31 Vie for NPP executive positions in B/A
With the filing of nominations closed, the stage is now set for 31 contestants to sell themselves to the electorate in the Brong Ahafo Region to achieve their aim of winning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) executive positions in the region. Four people have filed their nominations to contest the chairmanship position of the party.

They are Mr Asoma Kyeremeh, a private legal practitioner, who is the incumbent chairman; Mr Kwadwo Yeboah-Fordjour, a former regional chairman, Mr Kwame Twumasi-Awuah, a former MCE for Sunyani and a legal practitioner, and Mr Kwaku Adjei, an educationist and a former national president of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).
The First Vice Chairmanship position is also being contested by four people including Mr J.Y. Appiah, a popular football administrator, and Mr Paul Okoh, a former Member of Parliament for Asutifi North. The other two are Mr Thomas Adu Appiah and Mr Shaibu Musah Bamba, who is the incumbent.
The Second Vice Chairmanship position is being vied for by Mr Ernest Kusi Duah, Joseph Mensah and Kwame Aidoo, while two people, Mr Alfred Ofori Annye, the incumbent and Mr Robert Dwomo Mensah, are contesting the secretary position.
For the regional organiser position, five people filed their nominations. They are Mr Kofi Darko, Mr Aaron Obiri Korang, Mr Kwadwo Agyekum, Mr Bathlomeo Nathaniel Nkum and Mr Ali Maija Halidu.
Alhaji Issaka Issah, who is the incumbent, and Mr Kwaku Boadi Kwakye, are vying for the treasurer position, while Mr Kofi Ofori Kwakye and Mr Jephtah Appau are contesting the assistant secretary position.
Three people, Madam Felicia Peprah, Madam Dorothy Ama Amponsah and Madam Justine Owusu-Banahene, the incumbent, are contesting the women’s organiser position, while Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Abass and Alhaji Adamu Mohammed are vying for the Nasara co-ordinator slot.
For the regional youth organiser position, Mr Kwame Baffo, alias ‘Abronye DC’, Nana Sekyere Boateng, Mr Baba Gausu Mohammed and Mr Michael Osei Boateng are contesting the slot.
