Former presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Alan Kyeremanten, has disclosed that although he is interested in leading the party, he will do that at the right time.

According to him, leading the NPP now is not his priority, but he is rather interested in making sure that the NPP wins Election 2016.

He has, therefore, called on all party members to be resolute and rally behind the leadership of the party to work hard to win political power and offer Ghanaians good governance and better living conditions, since the NDC has failed to deliver.

Mr Alan Kyeremanten stated this when he presented assorted items to the Osu Children's Home in Accra as part of his commitment to bring joy to the deprived, marginalised and destitute in society.

Presenting the items, Mr Kyeremanten noted that that was not the first time he was donating to deprived children in society and would definitely not be the last time he would be doing that.

The items included 50 bags of rice,10 bags of sugar and 125 gallons of cooking oil.

According to him, children are the future leaders of the nation and they must be given the necessary support, love and care through every available means.

Mr Kyeremanten mentioned that supporting such people had been his core mandate and he would ensure that such children in society were well catered for despite their predicament.

He noted that the primary goal of every country was to ensure that its children were given a better life in the form of education, shelter, food and clothing, which would enable them to boldly face the challenges in society.

He called for a level playing field for all children to realise their talents, dreams and become very important key members in society.

He further called on civil societies, institutions and individuals to extend a hand to these little children, especially during festive periods.

"Life is meaningless without children and as such, they must be given all the needed support and guidance," he noted.

Mr Kyeremanten and his friends took time to interact with the children and urged them to see themselves as instruments of change and take advantage of their stay at the home so that they would become very resourceful personalities in future. He expressed appreciation to the caregivers at the home, who have for the past years taken care of the children, and urged them to continue to do their best for them.

The Manageress of the home, Mrs Sharon Abbey, was full of praise for Mr Kyeremanten. She urged him to continue to show love to all people, especially the deprived in society, and he would never lack or be forgotten by God. According to her, God in his own wisdom will surely answer his prayers as he meets the needs of these little children who have no parents.
