Elections will, however, not be held in the Lower Manya Krobo District.

A statement signed by the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Mr Amadu Sulley, said nominations for the district assembly elections would be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 and Sunday, December 21, 2014 while nominations for the unit committee elections would be taken on Monday, December 22, 2014 and Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

It said nominations would be taken from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m. each day.

It said all duly completed nomination forms must be submitted to the deputy returning officers (Special Duties) on the dates set aside as nomination days.

The statement said a person could contest either the district assembly election or the unit committee election but not both elections.

It said prospective candidates shall not be required to pay any fee for obtaining the forms or for filing to contest the elections.

All prospective candidates were to submit four (4) copies of a recent photograph of bust size with red background, showing the full face and both ears, the statement said.

It urged all interested and qualified persons who wanted to contest any of the elections to take note and act accordingly.
