Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has successfully retained the Bolgatanga East parliamentary seat in the Upper East Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with 12,002 votes.
He defeated his nearest rival, Mathew Silas Amoah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who garnered 7,415 votes.
