Edudzi Tameklo named acting CEO of National Petroleum Authority
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Godwin Edudzi Tameklo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), effective January 17.
The NPA, a critical institution in Ghana’s energy sector, regulates petroleum activities to ensure compliance with international standards while safeguarding consumer interests.
Mr Tameklo’s appointment comes at a time when the industry faces challenges requiring innovative leadership and policy direction.
In a post on Facebook, Mr Tameklo expressed gratitude to the President for the appointment and pledged to work hard for God and country.
He posted: "Gratitude is a ladder. Thank you, Mr President. In humility, I pledge to work hard for God and country. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support. I couldn’t respond to overwhelming goodwill messages. Kindly forgive me".
Currently the Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Tameklo brings a wealth of legal expertise and a deep commitment to public service.
