Free iPhones for NDC communicators in Ashanti…. To help win one million votes

The free phones distribution also covers deputy communication officers who are to drum home achievements of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and to campaign vigorously towards achieving the dream one million votes in the opposition stronghold and to ensure that President John Dramani Mahama is retained.

The minister made the promise at a day’s workshop for the communications team in Kumasi where a full-scale programme was also agreed on to sell out the party to targeted people and to win floating votes.

The party is to facilitate the daily trekking of the team to various media houses especially the electronic platforms to sell out the party.

Dr Sarpong commended the regional communications team hitherto referred to as propaganda machinery of the party for their immense contributions to the successes of the party at the last two elections.

The regional communications officer, Samed Akalilu rallied members to commence a vigorous campaign immediately and to highlight the construction of the 500-bed military hospital at Afari, the ‘first class’ road at Suame and the upgrading of the Kumasi International Airport.

He, however, reckoned that the 2016 elections would be keenly contested against the backdrop that the presidential aspirant of the main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has failed in the last two attempts.
