Expressing his belief in Ghana and how he was helping to improve the lot of several Ghanaians, among other issues, in an interview on a local television station, Amansan TV( ATV), which is viewed across the world on satellite, he praised Ghanaian entrepreneurs for standing firm and investing their monies in this rough economic time. He also expressed optimism that Ghana would witness a “stronger and more prosperous 2015”.

Touching on the current power crisis, Dr Nduom said it is a major disincentive for businesses and investors in Ghana, and urged the government to stop the unnecessary politics and work to solve the myriad problems facing Ghanaians.

Dr Nduom also said there was an enthusiastic army of young men and women who believed that Ghana deserved better. This observation, according to him, informed his decision to provide the leadership Ghana needed, to restore the lost hope of Ghanaians. “Ghanaians want food to eat; they want a home to live in, they want good health and safe roads; they want the best education for their children, and they want good jobs,” he said.

Dr Nduom continued by saying that he would fight to move Ghana away from the maintenance of mediocrity,  culture of indiscipline, constant failure of leadership and the cruelty of resource mismanagement.

Recounting his early life as a professional at a number of international companies which he worked with, Dr Nduom said he joined Deloitte and Touche as an associate consultant, rising to become a partner in the Milwaukee office of the firm by 1986.

He recalled his lead role in establishing Deloitte and Touche in West Africa, and said in 1992 he spearheaded the establishment of Deloitte and Touche with the support of a former Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Ghana, Philip Sowah, and former Energy Minister, Kofi Adda, among others.

As president of Groupe Nduom, a conglomerate of over 30 companies with Ghanaian origin, he is still impacting the lives of thousands of Ghanaians positively by providing employment and numerous philanthropic interventions.

He wished all Ghanaians a prosperous new year and added that it would be prudent for politicians in the country, as they welcome 2015, to focus on developing the country and improving the people’s standard of living instead of looking ahead to the 2016 elections.
