Kwaebibirem District is calm - DCE
Mr Osae added that the police had embarked on day and night patrols to ensure that people go about their economic and social activities without fear.
The DCE said this when he was addressing the third session of the sixth assembly at Kade yesterday.
He also said the assembly was able to generate GH¢56,184.88 internally between January 1 and December 31 last year, and urged the revenue collectors to work harder to meet the target set for this year.
Mr Osae informed the house that the assembly’s share of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) for the third quarter in 2012 stood at GH¢586,115.10, but the deduction of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) dues and sanitation had reduced the figure to GH¢201,690.35. He indicated that the fourth quarter’s share was yet to be released. -GNA
