Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has therefore urged women to vote overwhelmingly for the party in the upcoming December 7 elections.
She made these remarks during an interaction with queen mothers at Odumase in the Sunyani West Constituency of the Bono Region on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, as part of her campaign tour.
Addressing a large gathering of queen mothers from across the constituency, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reaffirmed her dedication to advancing women's causes.
She highlighted the party's flagship Women’s Development Bank initiative, designed to help women entrepreneurs access credit facilities.
The queen mothers praised Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her longstanding advocacy for women's rights and expressed confidence that she would become Ghana’s first female vice president following the December 7 election.
Nana Yaa Adansi Puduo, the queen mother of Odumase No. 1, also outlined some challenges faced by their communities, including poor road conditions, unemployment, and the need for new teacher and nursing training colleges in the constituency.
