NDC manifesto best plan for Ghana – Prez Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday enlisted followers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to study and acquaint themselves with details of the party’s now launched campaign manifesto to enable them share its contents with the rest of the nation.
He says the manifesto, the product of months of diligent work by some of Ghana’s best brains, represents the best plan for the country’s development and underlies the party’s quest for another term in office.

President Mahama was speaking at the Coronation Park, Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region where the party officially launched its 2016 electioneering campaign manifesto and asked the people of the region to support his second term in office bid and help the NDC to a “one touch victory.”
“We are here to officially launch our manifesto, which is the authentic blueprint with which we envision the transformation of our country in the next four years. We are poised to change more lives and to transform Ghana”, he said.
“What we launch today is not a catalogue of lofty promises woven together to entice the electorate for votes as others are wont to do but the product of months of careful and diligent work by some of the finest brains our nation can boast of. The Manifesto we launch today captures what we in NDC plan to do to move our nation to the next level. It is a document that has content steeped in vision and pragmatism. It speaks to the aspirations of our people while confronting our reality as a nation", he said to echoes of loud vuvuzela horns.

According to President Mahama, the NDC party has known no turning back since winning the last general elections, but has been delivering development both quantitatively and qualitatively in fulfilment of the party’s “pledge to the good people of Ghana.”
He said beyond the commitments to education, health, social protection and infrastructure development, the government was poised to deliver an economic transformation and livelihood empowerment programme anchored on diversification and value addition to create more employment opportunities particularly for the youth.

“It is our view that what we have put out today is the best plan that can move this country forward. I encourage you all to study the manifesto and vote for the NDC in the presidential and parliamentary elections. We have been candid and frank with the people of Ghana and we have demonstrated that we take them more seriously even as we come back to them to seek a new mandate to govern this country.”
