NDC, NPP, GCPP congratulate Greenstreet

Three political parties have congratulated the flag bearer elect of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet.

They are the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the New Patriotic Party and the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP).

 In a statement the NDC saluted the CPP for democratically electing Mr Greenstreet as the party’s flag bearer going to contest the 2016 general election.

“The Election of Comrade Greenstreet is another testimony of the CPP’s resolve to continue to do its utmost best to deepen its internal democracy and also help deepen Ghana’s nascent democratic dispensation,” the statement signed by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated.

It also saluted the three other aspirants who contested for the flag-bearer position for accepting the will and choice of the majority of the delegates.

On the part of the NPP, a statement signed by its acting General Secretary, Mr John Boadu, stated that  it was hopeful Mr Greenstreet’s election would enrich Ghana’s politics.

“We are hopeful that his election will continue to enrich Ghana's politics with ideas and values that will improve the fortunes of the average Ghanaian,” the party said in a statement.

Another statement signed by the GCPP Presidential Candidate for 2016, Dr Henry Herbert Lartey, congratulated Mr Greenstreet on  having been elected unanimously as the Presidential candidate for the CPP for the 2016 election at the Trade Fair Centre on Saturday, January 29, 2016.

The GCPP also commended the other three presidential aspirants for their participation in the election.
