Among those to address the about 6,000 delegates will be the acting party chairman, Freddy Blay, who will render account of the state of the party; a financial report by the national treasurer, Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah; to be followed by the acting general secretary, John Boadu’s report.

Others to speak will be former President John Agyekum Kufuor and then Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer, during whose address he will also outdoor the party’s parliamentary aspirants before proceeding to launch the 2016 campaign of the party.

Asomah-Kyeremeh who was speaking on Okay FM, said the region was ready and awaiting the arrival of the 6,000 delegates for the event to be hosted at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

He intimidated that the party had collaborated with the security services to ensure a peaceful and successful event and will arrest anyone caught fomenting trouble, explaining that rumours had been rife in town about some persons intending to storm the conference grounds in NPP colours to demonstrate and disrupt the programme.

He could not tell who those persons were but admitted they could be aggrieved members of the party, saying whoever they turn out to be, the police were ready to deal with them.

Meanwhile, he said only accredited persons will be allowed into the conference grounds.
