See when President Mahama's latest ministerial nominees will be vetted

The Appointments Committee of Parliament is set to commence vetting sessions for President John Dramani Mahama's latest ministerial nominees.  

The vetting process is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 23, 2025, and will conclude on Monday, January 27, 2025. The sessions are expected to start at 8:30am each day and will take place in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 of the New Administration Block.  

Ahead of the proceedings, the Director of Media Relations has issued a memorandum to the Dean of the Parliamentary Press Corps, urging comprehensive media coverage of the event.  

The vetting sessions are designed to thoroughly evaluate the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and suitability for regional ministerial roles and other critical ministerial positions.  

This exercise underscores Parliament’s commitment to upholding its constitutional responsibility to promote transparency and accountability in the selection of public officials.

So far, three Ministerial nominees have been vetted by the Committee chaired by Mr. Bernard Ahiafor. They are:  Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson – Minister for Finance Designate; Mr John Abdulai Jinapor – Minister for Energy Designate; and Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine – Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate .
