Tagoe, who represented his team at last Tuesday’s press soiree organised to announce the match venue, said that his team was ready to win the FA Cup trophy this season and to gain a chance of representing Ghana in CAF Confederations Cup.

“We have won this trophy once and we know what it brought to us so we will not wait for anybody to come and motivate us.

“We know when we win this trophy we will go to Africa and it will project our image as players. So we are ready to match Kotoko boot for boot,”  Tagoe said.

Koitoko defender Amos Frimpong also stated that the reigning FA Cup Champions are ready to defend their title and avenge the 2013 defeat to Medeama.

“This game is dear to our hearts and we see it as a revenge for our previous loss against Medeama. I can assure our fans that we are going to work hard to carry the day and make everybody proud on August 30,” the Kotoko  star reiterated.

Both teams will receive GH¢1000 worth of MTN recharge cards with the eventual winner set to receive an amount of GH¢40,000 while the runners-up receive GH¢15,000.

The winner of this year’s competition finals will also earn a slot to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup and will receive GH¢60,000 to boost their preparations for the competition.
