It stated that at a meeting involving the FA’s Emergency Committee, the PLB and the Referees Committee last Tuesday, important issues to ensure a successful end to the football season were discussed. Key among the issues deliberated was officiating.

A statement issued in Accra urged match officials to be conscious of the laws of the game and strictly apply them without fear or favour.

It further cautioned match officials and clubs to desist from acts aimed at destroying the integrity of the game at this important stage of the season.

“The GFA and the Premier League Board will continue to be vigilant in its supervisory role and will severely deal with any club or match official found guilty of any act of impropriety in accordance with the rules governing the GFA,” it warned.
