Latif must move to Europe —George Lamptey

Former Liberty Professionals coach, George Lamptey, says Latif Blessing needs to move to Europe to develop his talent rather than signing for a local club.

Coach Lamptey noted that Latif needed the right facilities to develop his talent , hence the need for him to move to Europe  to further develop his potentials .

Using Michael Essien and Sulley Ali Muntari as examples, Coach Lamptey, who discovered and nurtured Latif to become the top scorer of the last Premier League with 17 goals, explained that the pair could not have attained greater heights in their careers, had they not moved to Europe.

Latif has been the main target of Asante Kotoko, where he was preferred as a ball boy during his short stint with the club before moving to Accra to play for Liberty.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Coach Lamptey said, "I am looking at the infrastructure aspect of the game, where he would have everything at his disposal to excel".

"It will be appropriate to see his development in Europe, rather than signing for a local club that lacks all these infrastructure to develop him," he added.

Coach Lamptey ended his engagement with Liberty Professionals at the end of the league campaign, following the dissolution of the club’s technical team after surviving demotion.
