Medeama humble Magreb Sporting

In a match that saw the homesters in great form, midfielder Maliki Akowuah, opened the scores on the 30th minute after a brilliant move by Michael Helegbe who located Akowuah on the edge of the box.

But the visitors protested against the goal insisting that the ball did not enter the net. The game was held up for nearly 10 minutes, but referee Dauda Gomo from Niger stood his grounds to end the first half at 1-0 in favour of Medeama.

The homesters still maintained their dominance when the second half resumed as they kept probing for more goals and on the 46th minute, Kabiru Moro reacted well after dribbling through the Moroccan defence to increase the tally.

With the Moroccans still struggling to match their opponents, Medeama exploited the situation to register their third goal through Kwame Boahene.

With defeat starring at them, the Moroccans made an attempt to claw a goal back, but Abdelatif Abussi failed miserably to connect at close range on the 55th minute.

But it was Medeama who nearly added to their tally in the dying minutes, but Theophilus Anobaah grazed the post in a very advantageous position.
