Montenegro 1 Ghana 0

Montenegro have beaten Ghana 1-0 in a friendly match meant to prepare the Black Stars for the World Cup in Brazil.

Montenegro grabbed the goal from the penalty spot in the 1st minute of the game played in Podriga after left back Lee Addy brought down a striker in the box with barely 20 seconds played.

The resultant penalty was expertly converted by Dejan Damjanović with goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey clearly beaten.

Ghana started the match with Kwarasey; Opare, David Addy, Akaminko, Boye; Essien, Badu, Atsu, Wakaso; Waris and Jordan Ayew, but struggled to penetrate the Montenegro defence.

In the second half, Sulley Muntari, Samuel Inkoom, Albert Adomah, Kevin-Prince Boateng and kwadwo Asamoah were brought in to try and sway the match in favour of Ghana, but their efforts were futile. Although the Montenegro goalkeeper did brilliantly to save shots from Atsu, Gyan and Boateng.

Montenegro threatened to double their lead with a series of dangerous counter-attacks, but poor finishing was their undoing.

The Black Stars play their next friendly against Holland.
