Gabon are seeking to fill the void left by Portuguese coach, Jorge Costa after he departed at the end of his contract on 30 June.

Costa,44, was reportedly the best paid manager of any national side in Africa, taking home a reported 70,000 euros a month during his tenure.

The Gabon FA said the window for applications will close on 20 July and candidates will be assessed from 22 to 24 July.

Costa’s successor is due to be named on July 30 in time for the first World Cup qualifiers in October.

Gabon, who co-hosted the Cup of Nations in 2012 with Equatorial Guinea, will stage the 2017 edition from January 14 to February 5.
