uniBank unveils Gyan, Appiah as brand ambassadors
uniBank Ghana Limited, the official bank of the senior national team, the Black Stars, has unveiled captain Asamoah Gyan and coach Kwasi Appiah brand ambassadors of the bank.
Gyan and Appiah would now serve as brand advocates of the indigenous bank, by promoting their products and services, as well as ensure delivery on the field for the national team.
Coach Appiah signed a one year deal while Gyan would serve a two-year deal as uniBank’s brand ambassadors.
Richard Osei Anane, Head of Marketing and Public Relations of uniBank, introduced Gyan and Appiah at a brief ceremony in Podgorisca, Montenegro, ahead of Wenesday’s international friendly between Ghana and Montenegro. He said the two icons represented tenacity, purposefulness, caring, team work, vibrancy and flexibility in their leadership roles hence the decision of the bank to associate with them.
He announced to the players that the bank had launched “Let’s Go Brazil Promotions”, a special raffle to galvanise support for the players during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with the first three winners sponsored to Brazil to watch the first three matches of the Black Stars in addition to spending money.
Both Gyan and Appiah applauded the bank for the initiative aimed at galvanising support for the national team ahead of the World Cup since it would go a long way to boost their performance at the competition.
A few months ago, uniBank signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Ghana Football Association worth $1.2 million as the official bank of the Black Stars.
