Accra Hearts of Oak fans yesterday went wild with jubiliation into the night as they handed visiting New Edubiase a 1-0 defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium to open their Premier League campaign this season.
But the Phobians had to rely on striker Sam Yeboah's late goal to burst the bubble of a stubborn Edubiase side to carry the day before a huge crowd.
Yeboah's goal unsettled the visitors, who employed delayed tactics in a bid to hold the Phobians until Yoboah’s 78th minute strike from Robin Gnagne’s header dashed their hopes.
