The student athletes were selected from over 100 contenders after they displayed vigorous basketball skills to the admiration of the organisers of the event.

The contenders were divided into groups and were made to battle in a five-on-five basketball competition after which the 40 students were selected based on talent displayed.

The 40-selected students will go through further scouting series today at the same venue after which the best 20 athletes will be given access to the educational scholarship opportunity put together by the AYBO.

The scouting camp, which formed part of activities marking this year’s “Annual Ballers’ Camp” currently underway at the ASC, was aimed at giving scholarships to the students to further their education in the US.

The “Annual Ballers’ Camp, which is in its third year, was organised by the Royalty Sports Academy Foundation (RoSAF) and sponsored by Blue Skies, Vit’s Noodles, HFC Bank,  Graphic, as well as GTV Sports Plus and will end on Monday, April 23.
