Asante Kotoko grab Nigerian midfielder Wisdom Bassey

Bassey, who will don the number seven jersey previously worn by Bernard Somuah, brings both experience and versatility to the squad.
He played a pivotal role in Akwa United’s 2021 league-winning campaign, showcasing his attacking prowess and skillful play.
Having made seventy-six appearances in his career, including a stint at Sporting Lagos, Bassey is set to strengthen Kotoko’s midfield as they prepare for the new season.
His arrival comes as a crucial addition following the departure of several players from the club.
After Guinean goalkeeper Mohamed Camara, Sudanese players Esmat Abdulhamid and Abdoel Rahman Yoouef Yagoub, and Congolese defender Samba O’Neil, Fernando becomes the fifth foreign player to sign for the Ghanaian powerhouse this transfer window.
