Attram bemoan bad officiating : At Holland tournament

Coach of Attram Devise Academy, Godwin Attram, has attributed poor officiating as the cause for their failure to reach the finals of the just ended NextGen tournament in Holland as they lost to Ajax Cape Town at the semi-finals.

Ajax Cape Town eventually won the tournament after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at the finals.

Reginald Thompson of Attram Divise was shown a controversial straight red card in the second half to the shock of Coach Attram.

Attram told the Graphic Sports that his team was frustrated by unfair officiating throughout the tournament.

“We lost but I think it was due to bad officiating. The referees were unfair to us on countless occasions and I believe it affected my boys psychologically”, Attram lamented.

“But I think it’s part of football and all we can do now is to look forward to what we can achieve next and make good use of the experience we gained from this tournament” he added.

Attram Devise lost 1-0 to Ajax Amsterdam for the third place but another Ghanaian side, Right to Dream, could not make it past the group stage.
