Two minutes later, the Ghanaians conceded another goal through a penalty corner which they failed to clear.
Sensing danger, the Ghanaians reorganised their defence and started countering beautifully, creating some scoring chances but failed to take advantage of their dominance.
As the game progressed, the Black Sticks gained confidence and started stringing their passes together, but it was the Polish whose tactical discipline and skills proved supreme as they added two more goals in the third and 15 minutes respectively of the fourth quarter.
By that defeat, the Black Sticks’ hope of returning home with a semblance of dignity lies in excelling in the parings with the other teams that will take place today till Sunday.
So far, the team have conceded 20 goals in the tournament and scored only a goal.
In their first game against India last Saturday, they conceded 13 goals and againlost 1-3 to Thailand.
