Gebrselassie’s visit must inspire lesser sports — Veep
The Vice-President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has stated that the upcoming Global Millennium Marathon should be a wake-up call for the revival of dormant sporting disciplines in the country.
He indicated that the presence of Ethiopian legend, Haile Gebrselassie, to whip up public interest in the marathon was indicative of the fact that the so-called lesser known sports could catapult the country to greater heights when given the necessary attention.
