Boateng wins German Cup for Frankfurt
There were few Ghanaian goals across the globe over the weekend as most leagues came to an end.
Frank Acheampong continued his fine scoring form while Hiram Boateng, Majeed Ashimeru, Nana Ampomah and Mamudu Moro were among those found the back of the net at the weekend.

Kevin-Prince Boateng was superb in attack for Eintracht Frankfurt was they defied the odds to stun Bayern Munich 3-1 to win the DfB Pokal (German Cup) at the Olympiastadion in Berlin last Saturday.

In the Spanish La Liga, Mubarak Wakaso playedfor 90 minutes for Deportivo Alaves who lost 0-1 to Sevilla.
Emmanuel Boateng missed Levante’s 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo through suspension, while Thomas Teye Partey was not included in Atletico Madrid’s side that drew 2-2 draw with Eibar in the final week of the season.

In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Samuel Laryea Mensah, a cousin of former Ghana international Laryea Kingston, played for 90 minutes in central defence for Ostersunds FK who went away to beat Sundsvall 3-2.
Enock Adu Kofi marshaled the midfield of AIK Stockholm who went away to beat league leaders Hamarby 1-0.
Former Ghana Black Starlets skipper Nasiru Mohammed made way for Viktor Lundberg in the 76th minute as BK Hacken team lost 0-2 to Malmo FF.
In the Superattan League Midfielder Mamudu Moro scored and lasted full time for Helsingborg who beat Orgyte 2-0. Defensive midfielder Mohammed Abubakari also played full throttle for the winning side
Former Accra Hearts of Oak striker Sadat Karim played 90 minutes for Landskrona BoIs as his side lost 1-2 to IK Frej Taeby, while Thomas Boakye, a graduate of Right to Dreams, played for Halmstadt as they beat IFK Vaernamo 3-1.
Central midfielder Enock Kwakwa played for 82 minutes for Falkenberg FF who played a scoreless draw with Norrby.
Italy
Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah was on the bench for Juventus as they beat already relegated Hellas Verona 2-1 in what was the Ghanaian’s final game for the Italian champions.
Combative midfielder Afriyie Acquah replaced Daniele Baselli in the 76th minute as Torino to record a 2-1 away win over Genoa who had Ghanaian Isaac Cofie remained on the Genoa bench.
Midfield enforcer Joseph Alfred Duncan and right-back Claud Adjepong were in action for Sassuolo who stayed at home and lost 1-0 to AS

At the Stadio Benito Stirpe Stadium, Yussif Chibsah Raman was in action for Frosinone but were dealt a big blow in their chase for an automatic Serie A qualification a big blow as they drew 2-2 with visiting Foggia.
In the Italian City of Cesena, former Inter Milan Primavera skipper Isaac Donkor played 90 minutes for Cesena Calcio who beat Cremonese 1-0.
Ex-Ghana defender Bright Addae played 90 minutes as a libero for Ascoli Pichio who played a goalless draw with Brescia.
Austria
Playmaker Majeed Ashimeru scored for Wolfsberger in their 3-1 victory against LASK 3-1 Samuel Tetteh also played 90 minutes for LASK.
Striker David Atanga scored and lasted full time for relegated Polten who beat Austria Vienna 2-0.
Reinhold Yabo, a nephew of Ghana legend Tony Boffoe, played 88 minutes for Redbull Salzburg who beat Mattersburg 1-0
Samuel Oppong saw 90 minutes of action for BW Linz who lost 2-0 to Austria Lusteneau.
USA
Ebenezer Ofori played 90 minutes for New York City FC who recorded a 4-0 win against Colorado Rapids who fielded midfielder Bismark Adjei-Boateng.
Meanwhile, at the Providence Park in Oregon, Latif Atta Blessing played for 90 minutes for Los Angeles FC who lost 1-2 to Portland Timbers.
Alhassan Lalas Abubakar scored the match winner for Columbus Crew, featuring the Ghanaian duo of Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah, as they beat New England Revolution 1-0. Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah also played 90 minutes for Crew.
Striker Charles Sapong and winger David Accam came in as late substitutes for Philadelphia Union as they walloped Real Salt Lake 4-0.
Petit winger Emmanuel Boateng replaced Italian Romain Alessandrini in the 64th minute as his LA Galaxy side lost 1-0 to Montreal Impact at the Maputo Stadium.
