Botswana sprinter Letsile Tebogo overpowered his American competitor Noah Lyles after finishing first in the men's 200m semi-finals in a time of 19.96.
Lyles also booked his spot in the final of the men's 200m event after finishing second within 20.08 seconds

Lyles was slow out the blocks but finished strong to qualify behind Botswana's Letsile Tebogo as both athletes picked slots to the final on Thursday, August 8.
This means Lyles is now just one race away from adding another medal to the gold medal he won in a thrilling 100m final on Sunday, July 4.
Zimbabwean Makanakaishe Charamba took the third position in a time of 20.31 seconds.
