The amount is an improvement over what was raised last year.

According to the chairman of the organisation, Eric Gbeho, the group will soon donate the amount to an orphanage of their choice.

He lauded the tenacity of the riders who surmounted all the difficulties during the journey as well as the Koforidua fans who trooped to the Jackson Park to welcome the group.

The riders made  their first stop at Ayi Mensah, then at Maamfe, Adawso before finishing off at Koforidua.

Chain Gang has been in existence for over 19 years and has contributed immensely to cycling in Ghana.

With over 50 registered members and cyclists of all ages and walks of life and from all professionals, the  club has been a  social unifier to all its members and their families.

Promoting healthy living through sport and positive recreation, the club’s message to society has been entirely beneficial as a message to the youth over the years.
